Project description :

Tunisia has a seaboard of more than 1,300 km and 8 commercial ports that handle 95% of its foreign trade. In recent years, the Office of the Merchant Navy and Ports has included its various development programs as part of its overall upgrading strategy, which has focused on a set of actions, projects, investments, organization, etc. aimed at consolidating and confirming its dual role as a Port and Maritime Authority and an Economic Operator in the maritime transport sector, which must be world-class in terms of competitiveness and sustainable development.

The purpose of the mission entrusted by the OMMP to the ARTELIA/SERAH/MTBS group is to develop the new Master Plan for Tunisian Commercial Ports over a 20-year horizon to define operational, organizational and structural needs.

Services :

The mission is carried out in 4 phases:

  • Phase I - Diagnosis of the current situation
  • Phase II - Short, medium and long term traffic forecasts - and Shipping study
  • Phase III - Simulation and development of port development scenarios for each port

Phase IV - Establishment of the master plan for commercial ports
