Tunisia, like many intermediate countries, is experiencing difficulties in terms of road safety with relatively high accident statistics (killed, injured, material damage) on the road.

The operation consisted of providing TA to the Ministry of Equipment through the provision of a multidisciplinary team in order to achieve specific objectives and results defined below.

The result was to identify the deficits and deficiencies of the road infrastructure (diagnosis); to treat the points and sections of concentration of accidents (45 black spot treatment projects); to carry out a pilot study for three road rehabilitation projects (APS for three standard routes); and finally to propose the strategic orientations allowing to consolidate the actions undertaken in favor of an infrastructure management model appropriate to the requirements of road safety.
