Client : Agriculture Regional Directorate Jendouba
Date : 2006 - 2009
The public irrigated perimeters of Jendouba were built at the end of the 1970s; they are irrigated with water from the Bouhertma dam, the Oued Medjerdah and boreholes. These PPIs cover an area of 26,400 ha and include the following hydraulic infrastructures:
- 222 km of concrete wrapped pipes (FB);
- 488 km in steel cement (AC);
- 490 on-line control units;
- 1000 protective devices;
- 2,130 emptying devices;
- 3,500 irrigation terminals;
- 6 tanks with capacities ranging from 70,000 m3 to 400,000 m3;
- 880 km of agricultural tracks
- This study was part of the improvement of PPI management and aimed to:
- carry out a detailed diagnosis of existing infrastructures;
- make proposals for the rehabilitation of infrastructures (reservoirs, tracks, networks) with reference to rational rates and standards;
- prepare the execution files and the work tender documents.
