EXECUTION STUDY OF THE TRANSFER SYSTEM OF PURE WATER FROM THE SOUTH MELIANE STEP TO THE ALLEF STEP

Project description

The southern area of ​​Greater Tunis is served by the Meliane South Pole which has three purification stations:

  • The Sud Meliane 1 station, with a hydraulic capacity of 37,500 m3 and a biological capacity of 15,000 kg BOD5.
  • The Sud Meliane 2 station with a hydraulic capacity of 40,000 m3 and a biological capacity of 20,000 kg of BOD5.
  • The Ben Arous cluster wastewater treatment plant with a hydraulic capacity of 5000 m3 and a biological capacity of 3000 kg of BOD5 with a heavy metal treatment system with an average capacity of 500 m3 / d.

A new purification center is planned at the Allef site with an average capacity of 60,000 m3 / d. The objective of the project is to connect the purification poles of Sud Meliane and Allef through a transfer system, which will allow the supply of irrigation water to new perimeters.

This project is being carried out as part of the Onas sanitation network extension and rehabilitation program and capacity building.

Description of the services provided

  • Phase 1: development of the preliminary design (PA): collection of basic data which will be used for the sizing and calculation of the basic structures (networks and pumping stations), sizing flow rates; analysis of transfer routes; detailed description of the recommended solutions; types of behavior to be adopted; estimate of capital expenditure
  • Phase 2: preparation of tender documents including detailed projects of the solutions selected, detailed technical specifications and construction plans.
