EXTENSION AND REHABILITATION STUDY OF SANITATION NETWORKS IN THE CITY OF SIDI THABET AND TRANSFER SYSTEM

Description

The town of Sidi Thabet, located 20km from Tunis, already has a sanitation network. However, given the expansion of the city, the connection of the Sidi Thabet technopole to the network, this network which has become relatively dilapidated, can no longer cope with the new flow conditions. The same is true of the existing wastewater treatment plant.

The object of this mission relates precisely to the study of the extension and the rehabilitation of the sewerage networks of the city and the technopole of Sidi Thabet, and of the neighboring localities of Cherfech, Habibia and Bejaoua (+130.000 hab.), the study of wastewater transfer systems to the Jedeida treatment plant, as well as the extension study of the Jedeida WWTP to cope with the inputs from the various transfer systems mentioned above in by 2036.

Services provided

  • Phase 1: preliminary draft and impact study: collection of basic data which will be used for the sizing and calculation of basic structures (networks and pumping stations), sizing flow rates; analysis of transfer routes; diagnosis of existing treatment structures and their ability to treat effluents by 2036, detailed description of the recommended solutions; estimate of capital expenditure; environmental impact study
  • Phase 2: Detailed preliminary design for network components and transfer systems: preparatory work, detailed studies

Phase 3: Preparation of tender documents for network works and transfer systems and establishment of the DAO for the wastewater treatment plant according to the turnkey procedure.
