Reducing car travel corresponds to economic imperatives at both macroeconomic and microeconomic levels. An important aspect expected from concerns the reduction of the consumption of non-renewable fossil fuels, especially since the country is not richly endowed with fossil resources. Carpooling can also be seen as an economic practice that can act on parking demand, in addition to energy consumption and travel costs.
The expected results of this project is the promotion of carpooling in Greater Tunis through the analysis of the various obstacles to carpooling (legal, sociological), its economic feasibility, as well as the establishment of a technical framework. and institutional
