MASTER PLAN FOR PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT OF THE GOVERNORATE OF GABES

The study of the master plan for the planning and development of the governorate analyzes the evolution of the economy and the population of the governorate to identify the orientations and proposals for its equitable and sustainable development on a long-term horizon, and the development of its territory accompanying and facilitating this development. The governorate's SDAD is part of a long-term perspective (horizon 2030 and beyond). It directs choices in terms of location of major facilities, infrastructure and services of general interest, development of urban network functions; oversees the upgrading of under-integrated territories and the protection of the environment; integrates into the development the enhancement of sites, landscapes and cultural heritage.

The master plan for the planning and development of the governorate outlines the major regional perspectives and priorities for the coming decades. It is an essential land-use planning tool.
