FLOOD PROTECTION STUDY FOR THE CITY OF BANNENE
Client : Direction de l’Hydraulique Urbaine
Date : 2022 - 2023
In recent years, the city of Bannene has suffered from severe weather conditions causing traffic disruptions and serious damage. A torrential rain with a water level of 67 cm was recorded in September 2020.
The city is characterized by sloping terrain upstream and urban and coastal areas downstream that are impacted by surface water flows from upstream.
The lack of adequate facilities downstream of the watershed has created difficulties in water drainage (particularly towards the culvert (4x4) under the railway line).
